THE AIM HIGH DIFFERENCE
Aim High provides equitable access to opportunities that provide academic and social emotional growth for middle school youth throughout St. Louis city and county to help students succeed in the classroom, develop a love of learning and aid in high school, college and career readiness.
OUTCOMES
The following are actual results from the 2019 Aim High Summer Program:
- 82% of students showed knowledge gains in 2 or more core subjects
- 84% of students said that being in Aim High motivated them to do well in school
- 92% of students said that high school graduation was one of their educational goals
- 91% of students said post-secondary graduation was one of their educational goals
- 85% of responding parents indicated changes in their child’s behavior such as leadership, initiative, and responsibility
